I would give this practice 0 stars if I could. Beware if you are a patient approaching Medicare age. I have been going to this practice for 45 years, ever since the office was near White Flint on Rockville Pike. I started on Medicare three years ago and the doctor who was my PCP did not take new Medicare patients but accepted those who were already coming to the practice. Then he left to become a "concierge doctor", which is what my previous doctor had done. His replacement decided she would no longer treat Medicare patients so just like that, after 45 years, they slammed the door on me. I am hurt and angry and can't believe that doctors would treat their patients like this. This is for the Germantown office but the Bethesda office, which I have also gone to, treats patients exactly the same way. What are we to do? This is shameful.
If I could give them zero stars, I would do so. They never answer the phones. I tried cancelling an appointment and the long wait time to get to someone to answer is ridiculous. I cancelled the appointment and they still charged me. I disputed the charge and they just sent me to collection. Terrible. Please avoid this place.
This place was great place when Dr. Anders was here. His replacement is aweful and doesn't have a clue on what he is doing.
If I could give them a 0, I would. This office has gone incredibly unpleasant. I am definitely changing doctors. If you would like to get misdiagnosed with having “nothing” and having the PA walk away without even telling you if you are ready to go or not or say goodbye. Then, I recommend it. I went in for a really bad sore throat. They swap me for strep then the PA came in said it was “negative” and that “whatever I have will go away in a week”. A week later, I get a call saying I had come back positive for strep. After my terrible pain and fever I had to undergo with just ibuprofen was finally gone. Never been so disappointed.
Their customer service does not even deserve a star. I arrived at 8:20am for my 8:30am appointment. The receptionist told me that contrary to my understanding my appointment was at 8:15am. She further informed me that since I arrived at 8:20am and not 8:15am I was 5 minutes late. As such Dr.Tyler Thompson will not be able to see me. The receptionist lackadaisically and nonchalantly told me that she can rescheduled me for a 2:00pm visit. OMG!!!! They are a total waste of time and they are clueless!! This establishment was epic when Alec Anders was there. It is no longer the case.. SAD! VERY SAD!!
