My sons are in 1st grade and we have been working with Avid Readers for approximately 6 months. My sons were falling behind in reading and I was looking for help to assess their current level. Cheryl Hargis did a full assessment and provided written results and a recommended plan. We have been working with her tutors one a 1:1 basis each week and we are seeing great results. Cheryl and her team are top notch and their prices are very competitive. I highly recommend Avid Readers to anyone looking for help with reading, comprehension, writing and grammar!
This is the best English tutoring service I have ever seen. I worked for Cheryl for a year and half and it was an excellent experience. Cheryl is extremely knowledgeable about English education at all levels and she trains her tutors extensively before they can begin taking clients. I learned more in her training than I did in years of high school. Every student receives a customized plan to address his or her specific needs. Cheryl and the other tutors are helpful, friendly, and very communicative.
Top-notch teachers who are dynamic and flexible with both my Middle school and elementary students. My kids both love their teachers and they are learning the writing and grammar that they no longer teach in public school. Well worth the time and money. Cannot say enough about this establishment.
